ASIMCO Technical Day was held in SINOTRUK Technology Development Center on June 12, 2020. ASIMCO Group's team of 14 members, headed by CEO Wang Bin and Vice President Wilson Ni, and 40 engineers and technicians from SINOTRUK Automotive Research Institute, participated in the communication activity.
At the outset, the leader of Power System Department introduced the R&D capacity and product development of SINOTRUK Automotive Research Institute.
-SINOTRUK, as the cradle of China's heavy duty truck industry, has grown into a commercial vehicle manufacturer which offers a whole set of products, including light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, special purpose vehicles and passenger cars.
- SINOTRUK Automotive Research Institute has the strong proprietary R&D capacity in the power system, powertrain system and electronic system of commercial vehicles, the new energy vehicles, and the ICV (intelligent connected vehicles) technology.
- SINOTRUK Automotive Research Institute is one of the first enterprise technology centers as recognized by the government, and the national heavy-duty truck engineering and technology research center and the heavy-duty truck quality supervision and inspection center.
Then, Ni and the representatives from all the operating companies introduced the business development and the R&D progress with new technologies and products of the group and their respective companies.
After this successful activity, everyone in SINOTRUK Automotive Research Institute, including department leaders and engineers, showed great interests in ASIMCO's assembled camshaft technology and convey much optimism over cooperation potentials. Xu Aimei, ASIMCO Camshaft's project manager responsible for assembled camshafts, spoke highly of this activity. It's true that our heavy-duty camshafts haven't been provided for SINOTRUK, but the on-site communication revealed that the clients were much impressed by our technological strength in assembled camshafts. So they'll probably cooperate with ASIMCO in the development of new products.
What's more, the clients were greatly interested in NPR ASIMCO's exhaust valve seats. The company's Deputy General Manager Li Tinghua has followed up with the related information.
